TeDan Surgical Phantom Series Surgical Lumbar Fan Blades are used for tissue retraction during neuro and orthopedic surgeries. The blades attach to the retractor during surgery, and are used to retract tissue during the lumbar approach to the spine. Phantom Retractor Blades are made of titanium and while they can be used individually are intended to create 3-way and 4-way retraction.
TeDan’s patented pivoting design opens the blades in the wound by pivoting the fanned retractor blades up to 30° and increasing visualization of the surgical site. A short- toothed design minimizes tissue trauma. All fan blades are radiolucent under x-ray or fluoroscopy. Blades are available in a variety of lengths, ranging from 40mm to 120mm to best fit patient and surgeon needs.
