Phantom XL Lateral Blades come in a left and right pair and are canulated for the easy insertion of XL Screws for fixation into the healthy vertebral bone. The lateral blades have a semicircular shape, mimicking the shape of the tube retractor when left and right are combined, but can be retracted further or pivoted to increase visualization. Lateral blades can be combined with counter retractor blades for 3-way and 4-way retraction, with all blades able to move independently and pivot up to 30° degrees for superior wound exposure. Phantom lumbar lateral blades are designed for use with TeDan’s LED light source and corresponding light cables. Cables are inserted into light channels on blades, illuminating the wound site and increasing visibility, thereby eliminating the need for surgeon headlights. Lateral blades are available in 18mm and 22mm widths, diameters, with lengths ranging from 90mm to 150mm.
