Distractors

Used during open and minimally invasive procedures, TeDan’s universal distractors are placed over seated distraction screws and used to distract the disc space. Used in conjunction with TeDan’s retractor systems, distractors enable doctors to see and access the disc space. In order to best accommodate patients, TeDan offers several distractor options. The Phantom Anterior Cervical Fusion (ACF) Distractor with Hinged Arms eliminates the need for individual Right and Left distractors. By removing the hinged distractor key, turning the rack over, and inserting the key on the new side, a Right side distractor is transformed into a Left side distractor. This retractor option has a standard length with 60mm hinged arms, or with 75mm hinged arms to accommodate bariatric patients. TeDan’s more traditional distractors do not have hinged arms, and are available with a “right” and “left” option. These distractors are have rack lengths of 120mm or 100mm. TeDan designs and manufactures distractors with tubular and rectangular arms in order to best fit patient and surgeon needs.
