Scoville RetractorsScoville Retractors

Scoville Retractors from TeDan Surgical Innovations are used to retract muscle and tissue in the cervical and lumbar approach to the spine. Scoville retractors are designed for use with any TeDan or competitor retractor blades that accept a ball snap blade.;

We have designed an array of Scoville retractor blades to ensure that the anatomical needs of the patient are met. Titanium and aluminum retractor blades, both of which are radiolucent under X-ray or fluoroscopy, have been designed with multiple styles. Surgeons may choose from delta, short tooth, long tooth, blunt, discectomy, and bb style retractor blades. Retractors are available top loading and side loading.

Our patented, pivoting Scoville retractor is on the cutting edge of access instrumentation. The pivoting mechanism pivots the retractor blade up to 30° within the wound site, retracting additional muscle and tissue closest to the wound site without enlarging the incision. This innovative technique minimizes tissue trauma while increasing the surgeon’s field of vision.
