Lighted Retractor Systems
TeDan’s light source offers lighting options that eliminate the need for surgical headlamps!
The Phantom ML Light Source is a 52 Watt LED Light Source that puts out a cool light. TSI light cables connect to the source, and the bifurcated ends of the cables insert into specially designed TeDan lighted retractor blades and tubes to illuminate the surgical site.
This unique lighting system creates greater visibility than surgical headlights, as it reduces shadows and increases luminosity.
TSI’s light source may be used with one of four different cables, depending upon the type of blades used during surgery and whether the surgeon wishes to use a reusable or a sterile cable.
The TeDan Connector ensures that TSI Light Cables are incompatible with light sources that have higher wattages, which prevents fires through overheating. A single ended cable was created to eliminate the risk involved in leaving the illuminated tip of a bifurcated cable resting near the patient or sterile field when not being used.
